Real Racing 3 grapples the line as emblematic of both the best and the worst that mobile gaming has to offer.
On the one hand, it offers a gorgeous racing game visually unparalleled on smartphones with tight tilt controls. The cars automatically accelerate, with tapping the screen reserved for braking.
A few control modifiers like steer assist and braking assist can be toggled before each race. This helps while players get acclimated to the controls, but you'll want to turn them off if you hope to place in first during any of the races.
There is a dizzying amount of content being offering in Real Racing 3 too, with 26 event groups, each housing around a dozen events that can range from large-scale races to speed and elimination challenges and even drag race events.
However, Real Racing 3 embraces the free-to-play model a little too heavily, slowing any progress through those events to a crawl.
In order to race in any event group you must first unlock a car that is supported by the events. These cars are prohibitively expensive, requiring a real-money purchase or grinding through 20 or more completed events in order to earn enough money.
Even within each event group, you need to earn gold medals to unlock new events. The default cars will require a good number of upgrades in order to earn those medals, with each upgrade costing in-game cash along with a two-minute penalty while the upgrade is installed.
So not only does the game force players to endlessly grind through the same events, but every few races players have to wait a few minutes to upgrade so that they can grind through more events.
There is a fantastic racing game core to Real Racing 3, but it is hiding behind a restricting free-to-play model. If there was a one-time purchase to eliminate upgrade times and increase the amount of cash earned per event, Real Racing 3 would be far more balanced and recommended without hesitation.
There isn't any such option though, and the racing campaign is a slog for it.

If you wanna more  racing games besides Real Reacing 3, turn to 9game.
